Built for · two in one kitchen

One kitchen, two phones.

Samla keeps the recipe collection, the week's plan and the shopping list somewhere you can both reach. You have an account each and see the same thing: the recipe you saved on the train is on their phone in the shop, without anyone sending a screenshot.

One week at a time

Three things that stop happening

  1. “Send me the recipe”

What you save lands in the household's collection. No link to forward, no screenshot that cuts off half the ingredients.

  2. Both of you buying cream

One list, not two. Tick something off and the other person sees it, so you do not come home with one each.

  3. “What are we eating?” at six

The week is already laid out, and whoever gets home first can see what is next without asking.

Questions

Common questions

Do we need an account each?
Yes, and that is the point. A shared login means nobody knows who changed what; two accounts in one household see the same thing anyway.
Can I be in two households?
No. You belong to exactly one: either the one you own or the one you joined. That rule is what keeps it unambiguous whose recipes you are looking at.
Can we have a shopping list each as well?
Yes. Lists belong to a person but are visible across the household, so you can keep one for the weekly shop and one each for what you buy on your own.
