Built for · meal prep

Cook once, eat all week.

Samla scales a recipe to the number of portions you are actually cooking, puts the dishes on the week, and adds the shopping list up so the same item sits on one line. That removes the part that makes meal prep a chore: converting quantities in your head and then shopping from three separate lists.

One week at a time

Sunday, in three steps

  1. Scale it, don't rewrite it

Set the recipe to twelve portions instead of four and every ingredient line is converted. You are not writing a second version of the recipe.

  2. Put three dishes on the week

They land on the days they will be eaten, so the week shows what is in the fridge rather than what is still to cook.

  3. Shop once

The shopping list merges the same item across all three recipes and sorts by aisle, so it is one lap of the shop.

Questions

Common questions

Does scaling change the recipe?
No. The portion count is something you set while cooking; the original stays as it was written, so next time you start from the same place.
Are the quantities converted correctly?
Each line is converted on its own. Units are rewritten where that makes sense, but Samla never guesses at a line with no quantity on it. “Salt to taste” stays salt to taste.
How many dishes can I put on one week?
Four on the free plan and twenty on premium. For three batch-cooked dishes a week, the free plan is enough.

Next Sunday

Start with next Sunday.

The free plan is enough to write your own recipes and scale them. Households and imports from any link or photo are part of Premium.
