Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Samla recipe application and website (samlarecept.se, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.
• You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
• You may delete your account at any time from the account deletion page.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Use automated means to abuse import limits or overload the Service.
• Upload malicious, harmful, or unlawful content.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the recipes, photos and other content you add to the Service. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and the members of your household. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share the content you add.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Premium subscriptions are managed on the web. Polar acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes.
• You can view, change or cancel your subscription at any time from the website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Because billing is handled on the web and not through the app stores, the app stores do not process refunds for Samla; refund requests are handled according to Polar's and our policies.
• Prices and plan limits may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Recipe content, including recipes extracted by AI from URLs or photos, may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for verifying ingredients, quantities and preparation, particularly regarding allergies and food safety. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samla will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the Service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. [Governing law and venue placeholder — confirm on legal review.]
