Save recipes · link, video, photo

Save recipes from anywhere.

Paste a link from a recipe site, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, or take a photo of a cookbook page. Samla turns it into a recipe with ingredients and steps, keeps the original link and files it with the rest of your recipes. Your recipes end up in one place instead of scattered across screenshots, bookmarks and saved clips.

How to save

Three ways to save a recipe

  1. From a recipe site

Paste the link. Most recipe sites publish the recipe in a format Samla reads directly, and that is part of the free plan: 50 recipes a month.

  2. From TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

Paste the link to the post. Samla reads it and gives you a draft with ingredients and steps to check before it is saved. Included with Premium.

  3. From a photo of a cookbook

Take a photo of the page from the cookbook or magazine. Samla reads the text and turns it into a recipe you can edit. Included with Premium.

Questions

Common questions about saving recipes

Does it cost anything to save recipes?
No. You can type in your own recipes for free with no limit, and save recipes from sites that publish them in a structured format for free, 50 a month. AI import from any link or a photo is included with Premium.
Can I save recipes from TikTok and Instagram?
Yes, with Premium. Copy the link to the post and paste it into Samla. You get a draft with title, servings, ingredients and steps, and fix anything missing before you save. The link stays with the recipe, so the clip is one tap away.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Samla works in the browser on your phone and computer. Apps for iPhone and Android are in development.
Where do the recipes I save end up?
In your recipe library. There you sort them into collections, put them on the weekly menu and turn them into a shopping list. In a household, everyone sees the same recipes.
